The days slowly pass, I know that I’ve cast
The die for my dear Amarill
In my head and my heart, I struggle to start
This waiting I must fulfill.
She’ll be here someday, these are the words that I say
But I’m truly a fool for her
She’s a woman of class, these tests I must pass
These costs I must incur.
I cannot defray, the pain of each day
While we remain apart
In the end I behold, her body I will hold
And feel the beating of gentle heart
And so one by one, we count each day done
Bearing the storms we must weather
I give her my words, through carrier birds
Until the day, at last, we’re together.
