Hold

I whisper these words, only hoping she’s heard

These feelings I’ve professed before

I fight for her hand, If only I can

Open the holiest of doors

I can’t pretend I don’t care, it wouldn’t be fair

To ignore the feelings I build

I knew from the start, that this woman would start

To bend me to her love and her will

We hold in joined heart, the will to truly start

Forever and so very much more

We hold in our souls, a connection so bold

That I must only beg and implore

I ask only this, for the sake of our bliss

For her to take my open hand

And hold onto me, as I hold onto she

And follow my heart’s command
