Dissension

She dictates like I owe her fealty

But she never built the tree of trust

And now she asks for more then loyalty

So now I do just what I must

I try to break it soft and slow

But she grants me no respect

I surrender hope and turn to go

But there is not reason she’ll accept

She talks down to me like I don’t matter

She rarely  holds her word.

She expects my heart on a silver platter

My morality she does disturb.

And every time that I might start

To protest her disrespect

Or tell her what’s actually in my heart

Her response is not what I expect

She rises to anger fast and hard

No response to what I’ve said

In the end its me she will discard

this love lives only in my head
