I think of her though she is far across the land and distance
I write to her of a passion that overwhelms my heart and mind
And though I love her gentle way it’s a challenging romance
It endures through fights and battles and it presses on with time.
I yearn to touch her tender cheek or just to see her smile
I struggle with my doubt and dread, and long to hear her voice
I’ve climbed so many hills for her, I’ve been through so many a trial
I ask her to be true to my love and to make me her only choice.
I search for my dear Amarill across both hill and field
I seek her out in wakefulness as well as in my dreams
And whatever trials come and whatever the future may yield
I only hope my lady love is everything she seems.
