Like a tower of magnificent majesty
It stretches into the endless void
With leaves so frail and green with life
It shelters my soul of the world’s cold strife
And as the sun caresses the leaves
Its strength and fertility shine so bright
The roots flow deep into the ground
And its peace and solace know no bound
And so I shelter within its shadow
As storm’s rain comes to fall around
Even should I miss the suns pure light,
The leaves will shelter me long through night
