What to Say

I know not what to say, on my heart her beauty does play

And I want her in my arms

Brighter then the sun, her spirit so fun

She sends her light along

Laughter echoing down the hall, eyes of mirth all through all

She sheds her smiles like water and dust

She’s calm and tall and I might fall

How can she be forgotten?

Cascading blonde hair over skin so fair

The energy of the sun

Could she be fake? How could I mistake?

Her presence for a star?

She dances along, her poise so strong

My jealousy overcomes

I can only wait as the hand of fate

Will come to take her far

Sinking into despair, my soul I bare

But does she truly see?

Now I remark, my anger stark

She doesn’t care at all.

And in my shame, I start a game

To test her feelings through

I slip away, disappear in play

To see if she’ll even notice

Yet she runs to find, her smile so kind

I feel a fool for trying her

I was so lost but at what cost

Have I tried her nerves?

But still a smile and all the while

She keeps her nerves in check

And so I try for I cannot lie

This star, I need to orbit

So I’ll follow her and try to deter

My mind from playing games

If all’s the same, I cannot blame

This star for shining bright.
