The Rush of Passion

I must admit my rush and haste, in chasing this crush I might lose face

And yet as the days pass it only seems stronger

As the time passes this only lasts longer

And thus with conviction I chase this passion and pursue it in the most heated fashion

As we grow and learn our quirks, within my passion my affection lurks

And soon I hear her voice in my head

And feel more certainty in the love we’ve fed

Now I know that I must be steady and of all danger be wary and ready

She hears my words and stands so faithful, that these moments seem so fateful

I must be strong I must be true

For the sake of all the beliefs I knew

For in this passion lies the risk that we might burn out this beautiful tryst

I think of how this builds a future, and how I could so soon be sure

I must be calm I must restrain

This hunger I feel in heart and brain

For her sake and as well as mine, I must be patient, I must be kind.
